In 1936, William S. Lee opened the doors of Superior Furniture Company.  It was a life-long dream.  Arriving at the company's name was easy.  It seemed only natural the name should reflect the caliber of design, craftsmanship and materials that would eventually bear the name Superior.

In March 2004, William J. Lee II introduced Mainstreet Mantels, a line of luxurious and distinctive fireplace mantel surrounds, mantel shelves, and mirrors based from the historic roots founded on Main Street of Lowell, MI.
